Last night I had a dream that I was listening to Cecil Baldwin on the radio, and then I woke up to discover that it was just my alarm clock (which is set to talk radio) which had been going off for about half an hour.
I updated my etsy page! I have like 20 more one-of-a-kind stickers to put up there but that will have to wait until later in the week~
The Indie Arts Market went really well, thank you to everyone who stopped in and said hi! I got this gorgeous head chain from Julia Prajza.
Looks like Schmendrick found the Entwives.
A few last-minute things for Saturday! See you at the Gladstone Hotel!
Ruining Ally’s sketchbook with my stupid crap.
Flower Crown Melkor - now with color! I’m sure he just ripped off some random flowers from Yavana’s garden for this. And it’s not like any effort was put into its design.
Flower crown > Silmaril crown.
Porcelain is unbelievably hard to paint on. These will all be for sale on Saturday, though I haven’t yet decided whether some of them will be magnets or necklaces.
I needed a picture for a business card and all my recent stuff is fanart, so I painted this last night!
My March sketchbook project was actually a fan rendition of the Lay of Leithian. :) I’m going to be posting the entire thing on Smackjeeves, and you can read it »here!«
It will be updating once daily until it’s done. The style is pretty loose and sketchy, mostly because I really thought I’d be able to do the whole thing in one month, which I now realize was an insane overestimation of my abilities, ha.
I used band lyrics wherever there’s singing in the story because I am crap at coming up with that kind of thing on my own. :)
Using Phobs’ character designs because they are the best :)
My friend found the perfect way to hold up her Cintiq while working.
Toronto friends - come see my work in a group sketchbook exhibit!
During the month of March I participated in a sketchbook challenge and now my work will be displayed among many others in a group show during the month of April!
The official reception is on April 11th between 6 and 9pm, at the Earl Selkirk Gallery at 2928 Dundas St. W. (just west of Keele). Please stop in and say hi, and take a look at all the sketchbooks that were submitted. :) My good friends Varethane, Mokhii and Jess-Sheridan also participated and will have their work featured.
For anyone who can’t make it to the show, I have been scanning everything I drew and I’m going to start posting it soon - it’s a comic, so I’ll be putting it up on Smackjeeves. I’ll post a link when everything is ready!
